Running moving crews from the phone
What a crew app changes on moving day: jobs and routes on every phone, status updates, inventory scans and photos, signatures and payment at the door.
Paper job sheets and group texts work until something changes: a new stop, a different address, an extra crew member, a customer who wants to pay at the door. Then the office spends the day on the phone, and the crew works from old information. A crew app puts the job, the route and the paperwork on the phone every crew member already carries.
The day's jobs, on every phone
The office schedules jobs and builds crews on a timeline board. When a job is assigned, it shows up in the crew app with what the crew needs: the addresses and stops in order, the customer's contact details, notes and the inventory.
No printing, no photos of the whiteboard, and no "which address was it again?".
Multi-stop routes without guesswork
Many moves are not one pickup and one drop-off. There is a storage unit, a second home, a stop for materials. The crew app lists the stops in order and opens navigation for each one, so nobody copies addresses by hand.
Status updates the office can see
When the crew starts or finishes a job, they update it in the app. The office sees where each job stands without calling the foreman, and can warn the next customer early if the crew is running late.
Inventory, scanned and photographed
With QR labels on boxes and furniture, the crew scans each item as it is loaded and unloaded, and takes photos of its condition. If something is missing at the end of the day, you know right away. If a customer reports damage, you have photos from before the move.
Signatures and payment at the door
At the end of the job, the customer signs on the crew's phone and can pay right in the app. Nobody drives a clipboard back to the office, and the office does not chase the payment the next week.
Quick, safe sign-in
Crew members sign in once and then open the app with a fingerprint or Face ID. It takes a second at the start of the day and keeps the app closed to anyone else who picks up the phone.
Getting the crew on board
- Start with one crew and a few jobs, not the whole company on a busy Monday in June.
- Show the three things they will do on every job: open the job, update its status and collect the signature.
- Ask the foremen what slows them down. They will tell you, and the fixes are usually small.
Start your 30-day free trial and put your next job on your crew's phones.
